Our Team

Suzie Webster - Chief Fun Officer

Why did Suzie Webster start writing romance novels at age forty-nine? To inspire women to realize that they are the owners of their life and that it is possible at any age to turn their story into a journey filled with laughter, steamy romance, and adventure just like their favorite book.

After taking a break from event planning to pursue writing, Suzie is back at it and is excited to be able to combine her passion for books with her years producing events in her favorite city, Charleston, South Carolina. As a newer author herself, Suzie recognized the lack of opportunities for emerging authors to meet new readers and learn from other, more established writers.

She founded Lust In The Lowcountry in 2019 with the vision of providing a fun, sexy event for both readers and writers. The inaugural LIT Lowcountry finally came to life on June 10th & 11th, 2022, at the beautiful SC Society Hall, with twenty-two authors participating during the full weekend of workshops, parties, and book signing.

Suzie is thrilled to be bringing back LIT with an amazing team of fellow authors and experienced event planners at a larger venue and lots of new experiences for participants and attendees alike.

Kelly Finley - Head Ass Kicker

Kelly Finley hates writing bios. She’d rather be writing her steamy romance books, but here you go…

Y’all, she’s a true GRIT—Girl Raised in TheSouth.

She lives in the Carolinas with her sexy husband and cherished family. A rebel with many causes, she fancies hats, black leather, dirty jokes, big hearts, and smart-ass mouths.

In a past life, she was a professional conference planner in NYC, so when Suzi created the first LIT RomanceCon… she was in!

Excited to celebrate her passion for romance books and using her Jane-of-Several-Trades skills, she joined LIT as a dedicated stakeholder.

Nothing makes her happier than to be in a room of readers, authors and superfans of all things steamy romance… and in one of her favorite places… The Lowcountry.

Dedicated to writing hot books featuring characters we love—if she’s not busy working on making the LIT RomanceCon the sultriest event ever… she's most likely at her keyboard, putting the next spicy story on the page for you.

Bree Pyle - Ambassador of Buzz

Bree, otherwise known as Bumblebee Books has been a leader in book promotion, first with Hype Girls and now as a PA for authors such as Kelly Finley. Sh is an avid ARC and Beta reader and spearheaded the LIT marketing team in 2023.

We are thrilled to have her as a permanent member of our badass group of ladies. She is already doing great things with our influencer team and single-handedly tripled our instagram and TikTok following.

Not only does Bree keep readers and authors buzzing about LIT Lowcountry, but she keeps us organized, as well. She will be the liaison for authors for our 2025 event.
